Applewood Bacon Chicken Filet

Make this with your choice of side vegetable or slice and top on a lettuce or spinach salad for lunch.
Ingredients: 
  • 3.5 oz. (100 gr) boneless chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 5 drops Capella Bacon flavor
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • Dash Bragg liquid aminos
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 medium apple, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
Directions: 

1. Place the chicken in a shallow dish. In a small bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients except for the apples and pour over the chicken. Turn the chicken to coat evenly and allow to marinate in the fridge for 1 hour. (Alternatively, cut the chicken into chunks before marinating, then thread onto soaked skewers before grilling.)

2. Preheat a grill to medium high. Grill the chicken on both sides until no longer pink inside and an internal read thermometer reaches 165 degrees F, about 4 minutes per side.

3. During the last 3 or 4 minutes, grill the apple slices to brown and partially cook.

4. Transfer the chicken to a clean plate and arrange the apples around. Serve immediately.
