I was sick and tired of being sick and tired from gaining weight over the past 13 years. I was the fittest fat person at the gym. I tried the usual diet and exercise, and while I improved my fitness and stamina, I didn't lose any weight.
I tried Atkins (the counselor told me I was metabolically challenged), SlimFast (no weight loss), LA Weight Loss, and various concoctions in the kitchen that were supposed to help me lose weight. I was considering buying a $1,600 nutritional plan offered by my chiropractor that claimed I could lose 20 lbs in 3-4 months.
Disillusioned and bored, I stumbled upon the ThinNow/MyHCGplus page on Facebook. I was stunned by the photographs submitted by REAL people--these were not PhotoShopped fakes. I read Dr. Simeons' Pounds and Inches and I knew I had to give this a try. Either it would work or I would give up and just resign myself to being fat and unhappy.
I began at 172.6 pounds. After my first round, in August 2010, I weighed 147.5 pounds. My dress size dropped from a 16/18 to a size 8.
I did my second round in January 2011, and reached my goal - 129.9 pounds! But the most astounding number came from the tape measure - 60.5 inches lost in both rounds!
ThinNow/MyHCGplus gave me more than just a successful weight loss regime. I learned how to eat in a healthy manner. I learned that my mind and my emotions played a HUGE role in how, what, and when I ate. It was more than just a weight loss program. It was a journey of self-discovery.
