When using the HCG drops, the HCG will likely not register on a urine or blood test. Most companies do not screen for HCG while doing drug testing (as doing so would be screening for pregnancy), but it would be best to check with your employer to verify.

So long as the essential oils do not contain base or carrier oil such as jojoba oil, soybean oil, or olive oil, you are free to use them while on the VLCD. For a complete list of ingredients to avoid, please refer to our HCG Diet Guide.

Your personal care products should be free of all forms of food grade oils – this includes ingredients that contain the word oil, butter, and cholesterol, etc. For a complete list of ingredients to avoid, please refer to our HCG Diet Guide.

During VLCD, you can only use personal care products that do not contain food oils. During the VLCD phase, your body is extremely sensitive and can absorb oils placed on the skin and metabolize them as fat. Your body has adapted itself to only allow for the 500 calories from the food you are eating, and it is possible that any oils placed on the skin can cause gains or stalls. You will find a list of oil-free personal care products in our HCG Diet Guide. Once the HCG is out of your system and you are in the Maintenance phase of the protocol, you are free to resume using your personal care products as usual.

Your first step in the research process should be to read Dr. A.T.W. Simeons manuscript, “Pounds and Inches” from cover to cover and make notes of any questions that arise while reading. Next, read through our Frequently Asked Questions and testimonials so you have a better understanding of how the HCG diet works and what other people are saying about the HCG protocol.

There are tens of thousands of success stories by people who have used the HCG diet! HCG causes the release of 1500 to 4000 calories into your bloodstream per day (per Dr. Simeons' manuscript). Added to that are the 500 calories you are eating on the Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD), which comes to 2000 to 4500 calories per day your body is using for fuel. If you attempted to lose weight by only eating 500 calories it would backfire because your body was created to survive. It would make your body think that you were living in a famine and it would begin to convert incoming calories to fat to store away for fuel. But when you add HCG to the equation, the body readily burns the fat released from abnormal fat cells, which satisfies the need for more fuel and therefore eliminates hunger.

It certainly can get a bit confusing when doing research about the HCG protocol online! A round of the HCG protocol consists of distinct phases (or stages): Loading, Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD), Maintenance 1 (M1), and Maintenance 2 (M2). Different companies and different authors may call these stages by other names – but the concept is the same.  A round is doing all of these phases, in order, one time.

No, he just wrote a book about it.  British endocrinologist Dr. A.T.W. Simeons created the HCG protocol in the 1950s. Dr. Simeons published a manuscript of his findings as well as instructions for medical professionals in the manuscript, “Pounds and Inches.” You can download and read “Pounds and Inches” for free at http://www.ThinNow.com/P&I.pdf .

Kevin Trudeau learned about the HCG protocol while visiting Europe and upon successfully completing the HCG protocol, he wrote the popular book, “The Weight Loss Cure THEY Don’t Want You to Know About.” What Trudeau did was bring to light the HCG diet as a viable method to lose weight; he did not create the HCG protocol.

We do not recommend or support the HCG Protocol for anyone under the age of 16. We would recommend that you direct your concerns for your child’s weight to your physician. For children ages 16 through 17, we require signed consent from the parent(s) which includes permission for the ThinNow/MyHCGPlus support team to speak directly with the teen.
